Beacon Park benefitted from some new planting as part of the Making Space for Nature project in 2021. To keep the habitats in good shape there is a regular volunteering session once a month to focus on one element of the planting scheme.
Most of the work involves weeding, pruning, raking and occasionally new planting.
Local people and wildlife appreciate this extra impetus over and above what the Cormac team are able to deliver.
What's involved?
Basic gardening knowledge would be useful but not essential.
