Do you regularly walk along the footpath and lane adjacent to Swanpool Nature Reserves? Do you enjoy observing the wildlife and the peace and tranquillity of this green environment? Do you care about maintaining this area in a condition that we can all continue to enjoy?
We are seeking new members from the local community to join FoSNR and take on active and leadership roles in monitoring the area, sharing information and reporting unauthorised activities. . If you think you may be interested, or would like further information then please contact: FoSNR@falmouthtowncouncil.com.
What's involved?
We are grateful to those members of the public who already pick up litter, report water pollution and fly tipping as well as monitoring planning applications but we would like to be more co-ordinated with better communication.
We need people who love this area and are interested in protecting it for the future to take on roles that can ensure ongoing tracking and reporting of key initiatives to the relevant bodies.
It may not take up too much of your time but whatever you can help with will be gratefully received.
Why get involved?
Swanpool is a nationally important nature reserve and deserves to be protected now and for the next generations.
We were a founder member of the Falmouth Green Corridor Forum and have the responsibility for the southern section of the corridor. Through the Falmouth Green Corridor Forum we work closely with Falmouth Town Council, Cormac, Cornwall Wildlife Trust (CWT), Natural England and the Environment Agency.
Without a new impetus we will have to review the way we function in the future.
We really need your help.
