Can we interest you in joining the Pendennis Headland Community Action Group which is made up of enthusiastic and friendly volunteers?
The group's aim is to carry out one-off improvement projects which will maximise the educational and historical benefits that Pendennis Headland has to offer the local community through its 300+ historical assets from the Iron Age through to the Second World War.
What's involved?
The works will initially involve the clearance of vegetation which will expose areas and assets of interest. Tools and guidance will be provided.
Looking further ahead, the action group has the intention to mandate future projects in line with the Conservation Management Plan “Fortress Falmouth.” This will include the creation of interpretation information boards to create a historically informed walking route as well as improvements to historical buildings and the reinstatement of lost pathways.
Why get involved?
If you love working outdoors with like-minded people and have an interest in enhancing Falmouth's historic headland, then this could be just the volunteering project for you.
All you have to do is join the Action Group, dig out your old clothes and sign up to play a part in Pendennis Headland's next chapter.
How to get involved?
The first step is to accept the challenge and a member of the Action Group will get back to you.
